We often tend to neglect the first aid kit, yet this little kit can save us in all situations (or almost)!
Whether it's for a 2-day trip or a month-long stay, prepare your travel kit! If you don't need to use it, all the better, but prevention is better than cure!
Here are some essentials to put in your first aid kit.
Painkillers
Paracetamol is THE essential medication! It limits minor pain and has very few side effects.
Anti-diarrheal
When venturing to a foreign country, it is better to take an anti-diarrheal that will save you from a bad digestion of a food that has not passed.
Anti-inflammatory
Like paracetamol painkillers, anti-inflammatories such as Ibuprofen are indispensable. Don't even think about traveling without it! Even in your daily travels, remember to carry some in your bag.
Medication for motion sickness
Nausea, desire to vomit... If you are prone to motion sickness, consider adding anti-vomiting and motion sickness medications to help you have a good trip and eliminate these unpleasant sensations.
Anti-septic
For disinfecting minor wounds!
A small pair of scissors
Indispensable for cutting your bandages and dressings, and very useful for cutting your clothes in case of a more delicate situation.
Dressings and bandages
For both minor and major plains, bring a good supply of bandages and dressings.
A pair of tweezers
No, tweezers are not just for drawing pretty eyebrows. It will be very useful to remove splinters, thorns etc...
Anti-mosquito
It's summer, so chances are you're planning to travel to a hot or tropical country to enjoy the season. It's mandatory to take a mosquito repellent with you if you don't want to be the mosquito's dinner.
Sun protection
No need to explain, protect yourself from the strong sun with an effective sun cream.
For all the advice I have given you, don't hesitate to consult your doctor who will help you choose the most appropriate medication to compose your first aid kit.
