Victoria Falls. A wonder of nature.
In April 2018, I had the chance to go there during a vacation with friends and contemplate these beautiful waters of the Zambezi River flowing into a narrow rift over a length of 1,700 m and a height of 108 m.
If you plan to go there one day, a walk along the falls will allow you to admire them from all angles. There are even small bridges that allow you to pass through the rainbows forming perfect circles.
The Victoria Falls, discovered in 1855, can be visited and are beautiful all year round. But I recommend you to do your tour in Zimbabwe after the rainy season, between March-April and June-July.
In the heart of a protected national park, this must-see place disrupts the tranquil course of the Zambezi River, which forms the natural border between Zimbabwe and Zambia.
Today, this wonder is classified as one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the world by UNESCO, and not for nothing.
I even had the opportunity to swim in the Devil's Pool, a natural pool located at the top of the Victoria Falls (Zambia side). It is safe to swim there, only a few meters from the precipice!
The effect is absolutely stunning and the swim unforgettable!
Cruises on the Zambezi River are one of the most popular and unmissable activities, and in my opinion, the best time to enjoy a cruise on the Zambezi is at sunset.
