Rhodes is a city rich in culture and history and as many others, I consider it as a place to be visitied!
Between Athens and Rhodes which are worldwide touristic Greek cities, I have to admit that I had a small preference for Rhodes. So here are some activities I suggest you do there.
1. Go and relax on the beach of Pefkos

Take a detour a few kilometers away to spend some time on the distinctly quiet beach of Pefkos: it's definitely worth it. Once a fishing village, Pefkos has become a popular tourist spot for visitors looking for a quiet and peaceful vacation. Moreover, there is a variety of bars and restaurants in this small town, and the beaches are smaller and less crowded.
If you are wondering what to do in Rhodes, you should definitely add a trip to Pefkos beach to your agenda.
2. Visit the ancient site of Kamiros

If you are looking for something to do in Rhodes, then visiting this site offers you an invaluable chance to immerse yourself in the history of this beautiful island. The city of Kamiros was built on three distinct levels, the highest being the acropolis and the stoa, built on top of a hill. Most of the city's inhabitants lived in the middle section composed of numerous streets, and islands of residential houses.
A Doric temple was erected in the lowest section of these constructions, as well as the Peribolus of the sanctuary, where the natives prayed to their deities.
3. Spend an unforgettable day with family and friends at WaterPark

The WaterPark, open from May to October, is one of the most interesting tourist attractions on the island, and a place where the whole family can have hours of fun exploring all the water attractions. This park is located about 12 kilometers from the center of Rhodes, and can be easily reached by taking a free bus.
This park offers activities for all ages and tastes, including open and closed water slides, express slides, and water drop attractions.
4. Visit the Tsambika Monastery

Getting to Tsambika Monastery is not easy: to reach this building, you will have to climb 350 steps up the hillside. The Byzantine church itself is not very big, but it is beautiful, and you will find memorable panoramic views of Kolymbia, Tsambika beach, and Lindos. These views alone are a good reason to climb to the monastery.
Fun fact: There is a legend about visiting this very special place: according to this legend, if a woman cannot have children, she has only to walk barefoot to the church to pray to the Virgin Mary and she will become fertile. If this happens to an inhabitant of Rhodes, she is obliged to baptize her child Tsambikos, if it is a boy, or Tsampika, if it is a girl.
5. Visit the Acropolis of Lindos

There are a number of ancient structures to explore, including the theater, which could seat about 1800 people, and which is carved into the hillside. Today, only partial ruins remain, but you can still get a good idea of its size. You will also find the remains of a four-sided building, which was originally used for religious ceremonies; not far away you can see the Boukopion, a place of sacrifices to the deities of the time.
This is a fascinating place to visit, with ancient frescoes visible just a few meters from the tombs of some of the city's wealthiest families. If you want to immerse yourself in the ancient history of this area, then the Acropolis of Lindos is an excellent choice of tourist site to visit.
So, put Rhodes on your list of next destinations, the experience promises to be unforgettable!
